The average American produces 4.4 pounds of garbage every single day.

A massive portion of that trash is food waste. While many people know the plastic they use every day will never decompose, most don’t realize that their food waste won’t decompose either…so long as they are sending it to the landfill.

Composting prevents this! Yet we still grow up without learning how large of an effect our garbage has on the environment.

Our goal is to bring composting to schools across the United States, by offering a simple yet thorough step-by-step guide in our e-book. We hope to track our progress by having a platform (here, on our website) for schools to record how much waste they have diverted from the landfill through their composting initiative, and we can create a big community of schools who’ve  reduced their environmental impact and make big change, baby. Look for the e-book in 2019!

In the meanwhile, roam our website and see what it has to offer. There are lots of other ways to reduce your waste beyond composting. We post articles on a regular basis to inspire other students to reduce their waste on their own!
